I had the same issue and just got off the chat. They also got me to try this, but didn't work for me.Ĭlose the Rockstar Games Launcher making sure it's not running in the System Tray Delete the local Social Club folder (Default: Document > Rockstar Games > Social Club ) Temporarily disable any running firewall or antivirus programs Restart the Rockstar Games Launcher The launcher should prompt you to sign into your Rockstar Games Social Club account and prompt you for a new CAPTCHA. I contacted support and this worked for me. reinstalling and disabling firewalls did not help me. I hadn't used R* launcher in weeks and had this issue today. UPDATE: 12 hours later and still nothing, I’ve reinstalled the games launcher, deleted my hosts file, still getting the error. I'm so beyond frustrated, I just want to play the damn game, why is this so difficult? Literally the worst sign in process I've ever been through. After clicking sign in, the checkmark clears and I get a red warning saying Missing or Invalid CAPTCHA. I get the green checkmark in the "I'm not a robot" box, and click sign in. But every time, I'm able to get through some captchas, most of the time failing, even though I know I'm not doing anything wrong, and then eventually I get it right. I've tried uninstalling the games launcher and social club, I've made sure I can sign in to the social club on rockstar's own website. I just bought GTA V, I've been trying to login to the damn Rockstar Games Launcher for the past few hours now, so many times that I've been getting the "Your computer or network may be sending automatic queries" warning and being unable to try again for about 10-20 minutes. The captcha was still a bit buggy, but once I verified I was able to finally sign in. I have played single player and many textures were missing.SOLUTION: I disabled my antivirus and firewall in Windows and I was able to get in the first try. Personally I think the best way to handle this is just to wait, as it will probably be updated soon, and also because I would rather not mess about with the things in the game folder too much. I have read many comments saying that Rockstar are fixing this problem.Īlso I would like to thank those who have commented solutions to this problem. Thank you to everybody who has commented information about this error. NOTE: My friend is also having the SAME problem as me. If anyone could help me then that would be MASSIVELY appreciated! I have tried sorting it out for a few hours now and decided this was the place to post it to see if anyone could solve my problem. Why is my password wrong if I haven't changed it yet? I went to my social club setting to change the password, however the password that I entered as my current password was apparently wrong? When I try to login to the login when I launch GTA IV it is still not working. I have made a social club account and have linked it with accounts such as twitter and xbox live. Basically I have just bought the GTA IV last night and it starts with a Social Club Login screen.
